SHSG has equipped with total station theodolite integrated with GNSS reciever
Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development “ Georgian State Hydrographic Service” is supplied with high level technology total station theodolite (TS11&GS08 GE) integrated with GNSS receiver certified to international standards, which allows determining location of any object in 3D (3 dimensional space) also defines destinations of angles and other coordinates in a short period of time according centimeter accuracy.
The equipment is more productive functionally, than before existing geodesy tools of Hydrographic Service. It provides accurate data of coastline solid points, and also has ability of creating solid points itself, hence, it will simplify navigational charting process for technical staff
