State Hydrographic Service of Georgia
State Hydrographic Service of Georgia LEPL of Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia is the national coordinator of navigational warnings in Georgia. SHSG comprises aid to navigation systems located on the coast of Georgia, flashing and non flashing marks, cardinal and lateral floating marks providing safe navigation.
Provision of safe navigation is the main part of maritime policy of Georgia, which includes certain measures ( complex) to be taken for improving quality of navigation. AidtoNav, Hydrographic, hydro-meteorological, maritime cartography and international navigation Services, enhancing staff efficiency and qualifications in compliance with standards of International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) and International Association of Lighthouse Authorities.
State Hydrographic Service of Georgia successfully passes the external supervisory audit of the quality management systemetically and is certified in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001-2015.
The proper functioning of the SHSG is directly related to the transit or domestic cargo turnover of the country, the prevention of maritime disasters, protection of marine pollution, the hydrographic service contributes to the economic development of the country.
