Radio Navigation telex training
Nika Miminoshvili, head of the radio navigation division of the State Hydrographic Service of Georgia, attended the training course \"Information on safety at sea\" within the framework of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) program, which was held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Within the mentioned training, the participants had the opportunity to deepen and develop the theoretical and practical skills of Maritime Security Information (MSI), as well as discussed new ways and methods of information gathering.
The course covered the following topics:
• Updated Navtex manual
• Improved navigation warning systems.
• Requirements and duties of the National Maritime Alerts Coordinator.
• Types of information recommended to be disseminated in the form of navigational warnings.
• Implementation of new standard mgo S-124 of navigation warnings.
