Working group meeting of UHO was held in Tokyo Japan
Giorgi Kartvelishvili, Head of the Hydrographic Survey, Cartography and Correction Division of the State Hydrographic Service of Georgia, and Manana Kirtadze, cartographer of the same division, attended the 16th meeting of the Hydrographic Services and Standards Committee of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO), which was held in Tokyo, Japan, on May 27-31 of this year.
The meeting discussed the transition processes to the S-100 (Universal Hydrographic Data Model) and S-101 (Updated Simple Data Process, Software Improvements) standards, as well as the role of marine spatial data in hydrography, focusing on access to marine standards.
