Giorgi Rurua was certified as CAT B cartographer
Giorgi Rurua, an information technology specialist of the State Hydrographic Service of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, completed a 5-month training course at the South Korean Oceanography and Hydrography Agency (KHOA) in the frame of International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) training program (Capacity Building). At the end of training he was certified as a B category cartographer.
Above mentioned training course was fully provided by Oceanography and Hydrography Agency of South Korea under the auspices of the International Hydrographic Organization.
Due to the shortage of the profession of marine cartographers in Georgia, personnel with the aforementioned certification are very important for the State Hydrographic Service of Georgia.
